ESA tour of the International Space Station

The International Space Station was launched into space in 1998. With an initial planned mission lifespan of 15 years, the ISS has far exceeded its original remit. Operating as a partnership of five space agencies from 15 different countries, the ISS has been continuously occupied since November 2000 and provides vital scientific data.
