Ali Panju
Ali Panju is the Ogden Teacher Fellow seconded to the National Space Academy; his role is fully supported by the generous funding of the Ogden Trust.
Ali leads on the delivery of Physics masterclasses and teacher CPDs in Leicester and the wider Midlands region and develops learning activities for the National Space Academy Lead Educator network. He provides consultancy support for schools to deliver outstanding physics teaching.
Ali teaches Physics and Astronomy at WQE and Regent College, one of the largest provider of A level Physics in the city.
Prior to this he worked for Gateway College and established it as an outstanding example of Physics and Astronomy provision within the region.
He is responsible for the legacy Physics with Space Science and Technology which was in partnership with the National Space Academy and the University of Leicester which provided Physics students with a pathway to Engineering and the Space Sciences. This course produced brilliant Physicists who are now actively involved in Postdoctoral research and beyond.
Ali is himself a graduate of the Physics with Space Science and Technology degree from the University of Leicester and was previously a research fellow at the California Institute of Technology working on Martian Polar surface studies in collaboration with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
