A booking is deemed provisional until we receive a signed booking confirmation letter. Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a signed confirmation letter.

The National Space Academy reserves the right to cancel or alter the schedule of a booking due to unforeseen circumstances. You will be advised of this in writing. The National Space Academy does not accept liability for any additional costs incurred.

All bookings have maximum number requirements; please confirm any changes that are made with your numbers at least one week before your visit. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that unconfirmed additional numbers or numbers added with less than a week’s notice will be catered for in our programme of events, nor can we guarantee that programmes will be able to run with greatly reduced numbers.

Please inform us at the earliest opportunity if you wish to cancel your booking. Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances must be detailed in writing and addressed to the National Space Academy Regional Project Officer hosting the event.

The parent or guardian named on the booking form is expected to take responsibility for the behaviour and discipline of their child. All children must be supervised at all times during the event. Any costs incurred as a result of malicious damage will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Our home Education Events run to a tight schedule due to specific times the room/venue is hired and cannot be delayed. It is important to ensure that you arrive on time. In unforeseen circumstances, we will try to be as flexible as possible; however, alternatives to the confirmed schedule will be subject to each event.

All items left in the venue at any point are left at the owner’s risk and the National Space Academy/Centre accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any property left. Please keep any valuable items with you during the day.

Please note that light refreshments are provided for home education events, however lunch is not provided.

A Calm Space will be available throughout the event, please ask a staff member for access should you wish to use it. The parent or guardian is required to supervise their child and take full responsibility for them whilst using this space.

An independent evaluation of the Home Education event will be conducted by an external company to assess its impact on students’ engagement with space science, interest in STEM careers, and its effectiveness in supporting home educators. Feedback will be collected through remote methods such as surveys. Participation in the evaluation is entirely voluntary, and individuals may choose not to participate or withdraw at any time without consequence. All responses will be treated anonymously and confidentially. The findings will be used to inform and improve future programme delivery to better meet the needs of educators and students.
