Space to Learn - Home Education Workshops
The National Space Academy is delighted to offer FREE home education workshops, funded by the UK Space Agency. Each workshop includes a hands-on student masterclass and take-home resources to support parents/guardians continue the learning journey with their young person at home.
The masterclass is designed for young people working at the following science levels:
- Key Stage 3 (England)
- P7–S2 (Scotland)
- Years 8–10 (Northern Ireland)
- PS3 (Wales)
Please note: the content is delivered at this level regardless of age.
Each place includes one student and one guardian. If you require additional places, please contact us — we’ll do our best to accommodate based on capacity. Guardians are expected to stay with their young person throughout the session.
Masterclass Schedule (2.5 hours):
- 10 mins – Welcome & Introduction
- 65 mins – Hands-on activity stations (students choose which to explore; limited numbers per station)
- 10 mins – Break
- 65 mins – Group Rocket Design Challenge
Refreshments are provided (lunch is not included). Participants must arrange their own travel to and from the centre.
