Science allows us to unravel the universe’s greatest mysteries by revealing the invisible – it gives us the ability to see beyond what our eyes can.

Seema's History

Seema joined the National Space Academy team in September 2025 as a Space to Learn Project Finance Officer.

She has a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and is an ICAEW qualified Chartered Accountant.

Seema looks after the finances for the Space to Learn project ensuring that all costs are captured in a timely manner and reported to UK Space Agency.

We asked Seema...

Given the chance, would you go to space?

After watching ‘Grossology’ where they tell you about the bizarre things that happen to you when you are in space, definitely not! I couldn’t leave my family for that long – I think the initial novelty of peace and quiet would soon wear off.

What’s the best thing about science?

It allows us to unravel the universe’s greatest mysteries by revealing the invisible – it gives us the ability to see beyond what our eyes can.

What’s the best thing about working at the National Space Academy?

The team – without a doubt! The people here are so supportive and encouraging. Being able to contribute to something so socially valuable really gives me job satisfaction.
