Liberty Woodward
"I love seeing the excitement on the faces of the young people we work with. It's great working somewhere that makes space accessible to everyone, where people are brought together and united by a common interest."
Liberty is our Regional Project Officer for the south and east of England
Liberty joined the team in April 2023, as a Space to Learn Regional Project Officer. She previously worked for the Space Centre as a crew member and bookings officer, starting as a part time staff member while also attending college and later university.
Liberty has a BA (Hons) in Film Studies from De Montfort University.
Away from the office
Outside of work, Liberty loves books and everything to do with them. She also enjoys travelling as often as she can and has recently taken on a new challenge: aerial silks!
We asked Liberty…
Would you go to space?
Not by choice! In an apocalypse scenario, I’d have to give it another thought.
What’s the best thing about science?
That it opens new doors for new discoveries and there’s always something new to learn.
What’s the best thing about working at the National Space Academy?
Being part of a great team – plus, who else gets to say they work in the same vicinity as a chunk of the Moon?
