Space Engineering students off to varied destinations
- 26th Oct 2016
As a new term starts at the Loughborough College Space Engineering course, the College and the National Space Academy say goodbye to the third cohort of students, who are starting their new courses this month.
This group have gone on to a varied mix of courses, with engineering disciplines (Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) and aerospace related degrees strongly represented.
Other disciplines chosen by those from the cohort going to university this year include Maths, and Astrophysics.
With destinations as varied as Southampton, Nottingham, Bristol and Keele, the students are definitely off to pastures new. All of the students are going on to study at university with the exception of one, Jacob Russell, who has secured a Higher Apprenticeship place at Bombardier, continuing the course's tradition of sending students to Higher Apprenticeship in engineering firms.
The Space Engineering course continues at Loughborough and Salford City Colleges this academic year, but unfortunately the start of the new course at Brooklands College has been postponed for a year as Brooklands seek to recruit viable numbers for the course.
The National Space Academy would like to take this opportunity to wish all the departing students from the Space Engineering course at Loughborough, and at Salford, the best for their future studies and careers.
