Latest Update from the National Space Academy
- 14th Jan 2014
A new year, a new term, and plenty of new things on the horizon for the National Space Academy. Upcoming events include a free Year 12 careers event with a keynote from Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, teacher training sessions in physics and chemistry, and a number of free Lead Educator showcases across England.
The National Space Academy is delighted that Jocelyn Bell Burnell (pictured, credit: IoP) will be coming along on the 27th of January to speak to year 12 students about her career in science. These careers events are always free to schools and have other speakers from industry and academia. If you are interested in bringing your students along to the January event or our year 10 events in the summer, then please do contact us.
In other news, the National Space Academy has formed a partnership with the Ashington Learning Partnership in the north east of England in order to reach more students and teachers in the region. The Academy has also taken on a new member of management staff, Andy McMurray, to take the lead on Teaching and Learning across the Academy network.
