The European Space Agency (ESA)'s dedicated Education channel on Youtube has released a film highlighting one of the National Space Academy teacher masterclass held at ESA's space engineering technical centre (ESTEC – Holland) as part of ESA's 2012 Summer Teacher Conference.
More than 40 European teachers and engineers participated in the four sessions run by National Space Academy Director Anu Ojha and National Space Academy Lead Educator Chris Carr. The video featured focuses on "Comets – harbingers of doom or agents of life?" and demonstrates how comet science and ESA's Rosetta mission can be used as inspirational contexts for the teaching of many fundamental principles from high school physics and chemistry.
