John has worked at the Space Research Centre in the University of Leicester since 2007, researching and teaching undergraduates about the origin and evolution of the Solar System.  In particular, he studies the early Solar System and Mars.  He is also a member of the Mars Science Laboratory, HiRISE camera, ExoMars and the Stardust cometary sample return missions, as well as studying meteorites from Mars and asteroids.
