Loughborough College is the home of the original Space Engineering course, and has seen its course alumni move on to excellent places at university or on apprenticeships.  The Loughborough course is partly taught at the National Space Centre in Leicester.

The original home of the Space Engineering course, staff at Loughborough College have worked with the National Space Academy since the course's inception, and they continue to work together by sharing the teaching of the course.

Students on the Loughborough Space Engineering course have been on visits to industry sites related to the space sector both locally and nationally.  They have also benefitted from the course's strong link with the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester, with a number of students gaining work experience there.
