Covid-19: Our plan

National Space Academy Team at Woolsthorpe ManorHere is an update on how we're going to proceed with bookings for this academic year, and what to expect from us over the next few months in line with the current government advice surrounding Covid-19.

This was also emailed to our newsletter subscribers. View the email here.

As you may have seen, our headquarters at the National Space Centre will be closed until May. This may change, and we'll keep you posted on how this affects the National Space Academy.

Your bookings and our team
Everyone who has a booking with us between now and July 2020 has been contacted. In summary:

  • Bookings due to take place before June 2020 have been cancelled or postponed
  • Bookings due to take place from June 2020 are due to go ahead but we will update individuals as the situation progresses

Our priority is the health of our team, and of the wider population. We'll be following government advice and will take direction from the Executive Management Team at the National Space Centre.

Most of our National Space Academy Core Team are now working from home. This means you won't be able to contact us on the office phone(s) but please do continue to email us with questions, booking enquiries or just to say hello :)

In the meantime
We're hoping to send out some space science and maths resources, activities and conversation topics over the coming weeks. Keep an eye for newsletters, and join us on social media. We're interested in keeping everyone talking, and each other's minds busy. We'll also include curriculum relevant resources for teachers.

If you have any specific requests or ideas for these; please let us know via This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , or on twitter, facebook or instagram.
