Mathematics

The computational elements of mathematics can be used for predicting and modelling practical situations.  The language of mathematics underpins the sciences through geometry, algebra, and statistical analysis.  A Levels or Highers in mathematics and further mathematics are incredibly useful for students wishing to study any numerate degree, including any of the sciences, medicine, engineering disciplines, economics and finance, or business studies.

The National Space Academy uses genuine mathematics problems in space research to allow students to apply and enhance their understanding.  Within the curriculum for 14-19 year olds there are methods which are applied in cutting edge research, providing an excellent starting point for engaging with the subject.
