Ian Tippey

Physics teacher at Framwellgate School, Durham

Returning to the school where he was previously Deputy Director of Science, Ian now leads the teaching of physics at the Framwellgate School, Durham. As well as physics, Ian also teaches a GCSE Astronomy course.
Ian has worked with Science Learning Centres on various opportunities including a cross curriculum links project between Mathematics and Science and a Science in the News project. In addition to this Ian has given talks and run activities with both primary schools and cub scouts.

A masterclass or CPD session delivered by Ian can include anything to do with physics but especially using space as an exciting context for GCSE Physics/Science and A-Level Physics

"Many students are interested in space and careers within the industry and the Space Academy will address these interests and give a clear direction towards careers in the space sector, ensuring Britain remains a leading nation."
