Bursaries for physics masterclasses funded by The Ogden Trust

This academic year sees the continuation of funding from The Ogden Trust to support schools in bringing National Space Academy physics masterclasses to their students. The bursary funding means that schools can claim £200 off the cost of a full day in-school masterclass for 30 students, which normally cost £380 + VAT plus travel costs for the Lead Educator, bringing the cost down to £180 + VAT plus travel costs. Ogden Partnership Schools can claim a slightly higher bursary of £240 towards these costs.

The physics masterclasses can be arranged for any secondary school or FE year group, and can be tailored to suit different abilities. They can also be tailored to meet a particular class need, such as working with C/D borderline students, stretching gifted and talented students, revising specific topics, or simply engaging students with a variety of physics themes.

These bursaries are currently available for schools looking to book masterclasses in the Autumn term. If you would like to know more please do contact us. If you want to book a bursary-supported masterclass please fill out a booking form here.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust that exists to promote the teaching and learning of physics. They offer support directly to schools through the Ogden Trust Schools Partnerships and Primary Science schemes, as well as offering scholarships for undergraduate physicists and supporting trainee physics teachers.
