Matt is the technical leadership of the planetary communications team. He also acts as QinetiQ's technical lead and system engineer for the ExoMars UHF transceiver project, which will deliver flight hardware into a major ESA programme.
Matthew Cosby graduated from the University of Leicester with a BSc (Honours) degree in Physics with Space Science and Technology. He has 20 years' experience working with QinetiQ and its predecessor organisation (DERA) on space software and protocol engineering and is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS).
Prior to being appointed as QinetiQ's Chief Communications Engineer, Matthew was a communications system engineer and Team Leader for Space Electronics, focussing on digital embedded technology. During his early career he worked in DERA's Spacecraft Environment Protection Group, before moving to the Space Electronics team.
