Loughborough College

Loughborough CollegeEstablished in 1909 and with over 11000 students and 900 staff,  Loughborough College currently offers GCSE to degree level courses as well as vocational courses and Apprenticeships.
Courses can be studied in a variety of ways including full time, part time and distance learning.  The college shares a campus and sports facilities with Loughborough University.

The college is working with the National Space Academy to provide teaching for the Academy's Space Engineering course.

University of Leicester

University of LeicesterResearch scientists at the University of Leicester have a long and distinguished record of discovery in space science.
Every year since 1967 has seen a Leicester-built instrument operating in space. The Space Research Centre has held significant roles in many space missions for space agencies including NASA, the UK Space Agency, the European Space Agency (ESA), ISRO (India) and JAXA (Japan), covering astronomical missions (including the Hubble Space Telescope),  Earth Observation Science missions and various planetary missions including the current NASA "Curiosity" Mars rover.

Nottingham Geospatial Institute

uonNottingham Geospatial Institute (NGI) is a leading cross-disciplinary research and teaching institute at The University of Nottingham.  NGI specialises in spatial and location-based science and engineering, empowered by satellite positioning, remote sensing and integrated technologies. Formed in 2011, NGI is the result of a merger between the Institute of Engineering Surveying and Space Geodesy and the Centre for Geospatial Science.

ISIC 

ISICISIC was established as part of the UK’s Space Innovation and Growth Strategy, which sets out to grow the sector’s annual turnover from £6bn in 2008 to £40bn in 2030.  ISIC’s role is to inspire, enable and drive innovation.   It does this by raising awareness of ways other market sectors can use space-derived data and technologies to develop new products and services to enhance their business. Through its membership networks, ISIC can connect the appropriate expertise to help identify solutions – including the right partners and funding routes.

ISIC also provides a unique European capability with state-of-the-art facilities, including an Operations Centre, Security and Resilience Unit, Visualisation Centre, and Applications Innovation Centre.
